Best engine ever! Absolutely no trouble with this truck after 75K miles.
I’ve owned a few luxury sedans and SUVs since then and in 2016, when I retired, bought the F-150 XLT Super Cab rear-wheel drive with the V-6 Ecoboost engine. It was as solid as new the day I sold it to a friend. Next Ford was a 1992 Ranger XLT - a great buy and owned it for eleven years. Bought my first Ford truck back in 1978 - a 1973 step-side. I grew up in the Mid-West, working with my dad in the oil fields and on farms and ranches, driving trucks of all types and makes. this had to be one of my best experiences. I've purchased several new and used vehicles. No pressure at all, just a smooth, quick transaction. The final step was Tom at F&I and he was great too.
Some dealers had $2k mark ups on the Odysseys. There is no real negotiating due to lack of supply, but I knew this going into it. Had to pay MSRP for the van, because well, that's just the current climate right now with vehicles. A small win for me was that I was able to negotiate off the expensive cerami-seal charge because I ceramic coat my own vehicles.
I hustled up there (they don't take deposits to hold vehicles) and worked with Chris for a few minutes, and then eventually Anthony took care of me for the duration. Brian at Lindsay contacted me the same day it arrived on the truck. Took awhile (almost 2 months thru 5 diff dealers!) to get the color combo we wanted, but Lindsay got the van first.
