Bridging the narrative gap between Assassin’s Creed® 2 and Assassin’s Creed® brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed® Ascendance follows Assassin Ezio Auditore as he struggles to remove the treacherous Borgia family from their papal throne. In Assassinate mode, six to eight players go against each other in one 10 minute deathmatch style round. Assassin’s Creed® Ascendance is an animated story produced and developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Each team must protect their VIP target or assassinate the other team's VIP. In Escort mode, two teams of four players compete. The four new characters are Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah. It features multileveled indoor and outdoor areas "perfect for predators to lurk in the dense crowd for unsuspecting targets". Map Alhambra is described as a "lush environment set in Spain's Albaicin of Granada". On the multiplayer side, the DLC adds one new map, four new characters and two new game modes. "Ezio will embark on a relentless quest to recover stolen paintings in order to find Leo before it is too late, discovering two new locations and two new gameplay features along the way." From the official blurb: "After the fall of the Borgias in Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists, an underground cult dedicated to transforming mankind. The DLC includes single-player and multiplayer content. Ubisoft failed to mention a PSN price - the publisher told us this evening it hasn't decided on it yet. On Xbox Live, it'll cost 800 Microsoft Points. The Da Vinci Disappearance will launch at the beginning of March on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
